New Hampshire Senate Bill (SB) 621 was introduced in January 2026. It has bi-partisan support and would create a Cold Case Commission. The bill intends to improve communication between the New Hampshire Cold Case Unit and the public, particularly families of cold case victims. SB621 does not require disclosure of sensitive or protected investigative information, but instead focuses on structured communication.
This legislation represents real, tangible progress toward the transparency, accountability, communication, and case movement we have been fighting for together through the New Hampshire Coalition of Families of the Missing and Murdered.
This bill did not happen in a vacuum. It is a direct result of years of advocacy, organizing, and showing up. The bill's sponsor, Senator Pat Long, attended our Coalition event in 2025, listened to us, and took action. Co-sponsor Senator Victoria Sullivan also spoke at our event. This is what impact looks like. Legislators heard us and responded.
